Ambati Rayudu retires from all forms of cricket

Mr. Ambati Rayudu has announced his retirement from all formats of the game. Having first made his first-class debut in the 2001-02 season for Hyderabad in a Ranji Trophy pre-quarterfinal match against Himachal Pradesh, Rayudu went on to play 55 ODIs and 6 T20Is for India.

 

“I have come to the decision to step away from the sport and retire from all forms and levels of the game,” Rayudu informed the Board. “It has been a wonderful journey of playing the sport and learning from every up and down it brought upon for the last 25 years at various different levels,” he stated.  

 

He thanked BCCI, the captains he has played under and various state associations that he represented during his long career. “I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the BCCI and all the state associations that I have represented which include Hyderabad, Baroda, Andhra and Vidarbha. I also would like to thank the two IPL franchises Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings for their support.

Ruturaj Gaikwad, Anmolpreet Singh & Ishan Kishan added to India A squad for WI tour

The All-India Senior Selection Committee has named three replacements in the India A one-day squad that is set to tour West Indies this month. Ruturaj Gaikwad will replace an injured Prithvi Shaw in the squad while Anmolpreet Singh & Ishan Kishan will replace Mayank Agarwal & Rishabh Pant who are a part of the senior men’s squad for the World Cup.

 

Revised India A squad for 5 one-day matches against West Indies A is as follows: Manish Pandey (C), Ruturaj Gaikwad, Anmolpreet Singh, Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, Hanuma Vihari, Ishan Kishan (WK), Rahul Chahar, Washington Sundar, Axar Patel, Krunal Pandya, Deepak Chahar, Khaleel Ahmed, Avesh Khan, Navdeep Saini

 

India A will play 5 one-day games against West Indies A starting 11th July 2019.
