Pooja Vastrakar, who hails from Madhya-Pradesh, made her debut for the senior women’s team in February 2018 in South Africa. Her coach in a boys training camp picked up this lean and petite batter and since then there has been no looking back for the teenager. Pooja started playing cricket as a batter, but her medium pace was what attracted her coach, who then helped her in honing her bowling skills. Pooja played a key role in the Asia Cup for Women held in Malaysia this year and is also known for her formidable fielding skills.
