Bowlers dealt a couple of early blows against Mumbai after Madhya Pradesh batsmen put team in advantageous position. In their match against Railways, Gujarat built on the first innings lead after the Mehul Patel-led attack bowled the team to a first innings lead.
With a career best score of 187 runs in his second first-class match, Samarth Singh helped Uttar Pradesh to a massive total against Tamil Nadu.
Debutant Amit Kuila picked three Punjab wickets upfront to tip the balance in Bengal’s favour.

Rajat Patidar posted a century after resuming his innings on 83 in the morning before returning to the pavilion as he worked to keep the balance tipped in MP”s favour. His overnight partner, Devendra Bundela made 60 while Shubham Sharma remained not out on 83 as he helped the team to a solid first innings total. Tushar Deshpande and Vijay Gohil finished with three wickets each for Mumbai.
Mumbai then lost two early wickets as MP’s Ishwar Pandey and Chandrakant Sakure accounted for Kaustubh Pawar and night-watchman Balwinder Sandhu respectively to leave Mumbai on 36 for two. Akhil Herwadkar (29*) then saw the team to stumps with Shreyas Iyer (1*).
Bengal vs Punjab in Bilaspur: Bengal 1st inn 404/10 in 120.3 overs (P Shaw 55, S Sharma 4/96, V Choudhary 3/75); Punjab 168/4 in 51 overs (U Kaul 73*, T Kohli 26*, A Kuila 3/44) Trail by 236 runs.
Bengal lost their remaining five wickets for the addition of 72 runs to their overnight total of 332. The Sandeep Sharma (four wickets)-led lineup bowled Bengal out for 404 on the second day.
Debutant Amit Kuila then picked three for 44 while Ashok Dinda accounted for Yuvraj Singh to leave Punjab on 168 for four at stumps on the second day.

After Railways resumed their innings on 63 for seven, Rush Kalaria claimed two wickets while Mehul Patel picked one to bowl Railways out for 124 and seize first innings lead. Captain Karn Sharma made 48 even as the rest of the lineup caved in to the opposition.
Putting up a better performance in their second outing, Gujarat were 295 for three at stumps on second day with a lead on 358. While Priyank Panchal had scored a century, B Merai made 70. At stumps captain Parthiv Patel was at the crease with Manprit Juneja.

Propelled by opener S Singh, UP continued to pile on runs on the second day after resuming on 207 for one in the morning. While the opening batsman made 187 to post his career best score, sizeable contributions by batsmen down the order including Eklavya Dwivedi’s 60 helped the team post 524 on the board until being bowled out.
With Saurabh Kumar then claiming MS Washington Sundar, Tamil Nadu were 18 for one at stumps.
