Gurkeerat Mann claimed five for 38 to bowl Punjab to a seven-wicket win against Andhra. After claiming four for 14 in the first innings, the off-spinner returned to run through the visitors line-up in Patiala.
In Group B, Tamil Nadu are in a commanding position after Aswin Crist and J Kousik left hosts Railways reeling on 129 for seven. Virender Sehwag’s Haryana too are on the back foot in Lahli while Saurashtra have managed a narrow first innings lead.

Haryana v Bengal: Bengal 1st inn 329/10 (P Ojha 51, A Dinda 45, S Rana 5/46); Haryana 1st inn 186/8 (R Sharma 52*, Y Chahal 33, M Kumar 4/49), Trail by 143 runs
In a 78-run partnership for the ninth wicket, Pragyan Ojha (51) and Ashoke Dinda (45) helped Bengal to a comfortable first innings total before being sent back by S Rana (5/46).
Mukesh Kumar (4/49) then kept the hosts in command by running through the Haryana line-up even as RP Sharma (52*) stoically held up one end.
Odisha v Delhi: Delhi 1st inn 245/7 (Milind 59, P Sangwan 15*, S Pradhan 4/83)
Even as rain continued to play spoilsport in Bhubaneshwar, Delhi took their innings to 245 for seven. Running through the lineup, Odisha pacer Suryakant Pradhan claimed his second first-class four-wicket haul to keep the visitors in check on the second day.

Rajat Bhatia kept hosts Rajasthan in the fray with a determined 171-ball 99-run knock even as the hosts lost wickets at regular intervals. Trapped lbw by Vinay Kumar, the veteran batsman missed out on a hard earned century in Jaipur.
Vidarbha v Maharashtra: Vid 1st inn 332/10 (F Fazal 120, S Mundhe 3/60, A Sanklecha 3/60); Maha 1st inn 144/6 (S Gugale 42, R Thakur 2/22, S Wagh 2/31), Trail by 188 runs
Vidarbha's left-arm pacers Shrikant Wagh and Ravikumar Thakur claimed two wickets each while Faiz Fazal returned to claim Harshad Khadiwale to push Maharashtra on the back foot in Nagpur.
Group B
Baroda v Madhya Pradesh: MP 1st inn 269/10 (I Pandey 34, S Singh 4/61); Baroda 1st inn 188/4 (A Waghmode 64*, A Sharma 2/58). Trail by 81 runs
Aditya Waghmode kept Baroda's first innings on course with a 210-ball 64* after the hosts were left on 59 for three. He was involved in an 80-run partnership with Deepak Hooda (51) to help script the hosts’ reply. His stand with Yusuf Pathan (27) was unbroken on 49 when play ended for the day.
Gujarat v Uttar Pradesh: UP 1st inn 273/10 (H Asnora 57*, J Murah 3/35); Guj 1st inn 100/10 (P tale 39, P Kumar 5/16, S Kumar 5/37); UP 2nd inn 163/7 (U Sharma 66, Axar Patel 4/54), Lead by 336 runs.
Praveen Kumar (5/16) bowled UP to a 173-run first innings lead in Valsad. The senior pacer was well complemented by left-arm spinner
Saurabh Kumar (5/37) in bowling the hosts out for a paltry total. The swing bowler's 17th five-wicket haul in first-class cricket has helped put the visitors in a commanding position for a win and keep them in reckoning for a post in the knock-outs.
Although the UP line-up caved in to the Axar Patel (4/54)-led attack in the second innings, Umang Sharma (66) had helped the visitors to a sizeable lead.

Gurkeerat Mann (5/38) wrapped up Andhra's second innings for 133 to set up the match for Punjab in Patiala. The off-spinner, who had claimed four wickets in the first innings finished with nine in his bag. After Sarabjeet Ladda (3/33) & Rajwinder Gole (2/40) ran through the top half of the Andhra line-up, Mann wrecked the bottom half. 16 wickets fell in Patiala on Day 2 as Punjab cruised to victory.
Railways v Tamil Nadu: TN 1st inn 328/10 (B Indrajith 151, Anureet Singh 5/104); Railways 1st inn 129/7 (V Cheluvaraj 63*, Aswin Crist 4/42, J Kousik 3/7), Trail by 199 runs
After Baba Indrajith set up the match for TN with a 151-run knock, the pace duo of Aswin Crist and J Kousik ran through the Railways' lineup to tip the balance in the visitors’ favour. While Crist ran through the top-order, Kousik ran through the middle order.

Himachal Pradesh v Tripura: Tripura 1st inn 285/10 (R Datta 24, A Chauhan 3/55), HP 1st inn (A Bains 114, P Chopra 101, R Datta 3/26), Trail by 26 runs
A Bains and P Chopra have ensured HP a first innings lead with a 210-run opening stand after Tripura were bowled out for 285 in Dharamsala. The pair batted the visitors out of the game with a solid display of batsmanship. While Bains made 114, Chopra scored 101 before being sent back by Rana Datta to keep the team in a commanding position and ensuring a first innings lead.
Hyderabad v Jammu & Kashmir: J & K 1st inn 460/10 (R Dayal 48, Anwar Ahmed 5/92); Hyd 1st inn 113/2 (T Agarwal 57*, R Sharma 2/33), Trail by 347 runs
Hyderabad's left-arm pacer, Anwar Ahmed (5/92) bowled J & K out for 460 earlier in the day after the visitors resumed on 331 for four.
Tanmay Agarwal then helped the team see through the day with an unbeaten 57.
Jharkhand v Goa: Goa 1st inn 141/2 (S Asnodkar 67*, S Quadri 2/42)
After losing the first day to bad weather, 53 overs of play could take place in Jamshedpur on Day 2. Swapnil Asnodkar took the visitors to 141 for two with a 151-ball 67* until play was called off for the day.
Services v Saurashtra: Sau 1st inn 264/10 ( A Barot 66, C Jani 47, A Ahmad 5/74, S Pathania 4/72) Lead by 10 runs
After Avi Barot (66) set the platform for Suarashtra's second innings with a 91-run openings stand the visitors lost wickets at regular intervals and were in precarious position. However, Chirag Jani helped the team to a narrow first innings lead in Delhi.
