Mumbai, July 12: Batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar has found an unabashed fan in British actor Daniel Radcliffe. Radcliffe, who plays the eponymous wizard in the Harry Potter movies, boasts a staggering worldwide fan following. But that doesn’t stop this ardent cricket follower from gushing about his sporting idol.
Radcliffe was quoted as saying by a leading national daily, "My friends and I were thrilled to meet Sachin and get his autograph. I am a huge fan, he is truly a legend.”
The 22-year old star of one of the most successful franchises in movie history added, "I wanted to visit India during the Cricket World Cup but got so caught up with my Broadway musical, ‘How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying’, that it left me with no time. But cricket or no cricket, I am certainly planning a trip to India soon."
The Harry Potter-star’s India connection is not limited to Tendulkar. He finds Bollywood movies “entertaining” and has read about India in books like the celebrated ‘Midnight’s Children’.
