MEDIA RELEASE
The All-India Senior Selection Committee met at the Cricket Centre, Mumbai, earlier today, to pick the Indian team for the ICC Champions Trophy 2013, to be played in England and Wales in June 2013.
The squad is as follows
INDIA
Mahendra Singh Dhoni (Captain), Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina, Dinesh Karthik, Murali Vijay, Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Irfan Pathan, Umesh Yadav, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ishant Sharma, Amit Mishra and Vinay Kumar.
The Committee also picked 21 probables for the tri-series in the West Indies, which will follow the ICC Champions Trophy. The fifteen members of the squad for the ICC Champions Trophy apart, the following six players were named:
Manoj Tiwary, Praveen Kumar, Mohammed Shami, Ambati Rayudu, Rahul Sharma and Gautam Gambhir.
