About JEMIMAH

A versatile athlete, Jemimah Rodrigues' talents extend far beyond cricket. Growing up, she excelled in multiple sports including basketball, football and played hockey at national level. Rodrigues' precocious talent was on display right from the young age. She made quick progress through the age-group ranks. At just 13, she made her Mumbai Under-19 debut in 2012-13. She made headlines when she hit 202* against Saurashtra to become just the second Indian woman after Smriti Mandhana to score a double ton in the Under-19 One Day Trophy in 2017. Consistent domestic performances helped her earn a national call-up in 2018. She made her international debut in South Africa and impressed straightaway with a quick-fire 37 off 27 in India's win over the hosts in the Potchefstroom T20I. She impressed on her Test debut as well, scoring 68 against England in her debut Test innings at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. Jemimah's three 50+ scores in five Test innings also played a key role in India's run of home wins against England, Australia and South Africa.

A right-handed versatile batter, Jemimah is a 360-degree player who can score runs in all areas of the field. She can put the bowlers off their plans with her creative strokeplay. A busy player, Jemimah has been a constant in the Indian side ever since her international debut in 2018. She is a livewire in the field, making brilliant stops, taking splendid catches and breathing energy into the team. She played a pivotal part in India's gold medal win at the 2023 Asian Games.

Jemimah scored her maiden international hundred in an ODI against Ireland at Rajkot in January 2025. Now among the senior members in the Indian team, Jemimah overcame a difficult start to the 2025 ICC Women's Cricket World Cup with a match-winning unbeaten hundred in an ODI record chase against Australia in the semi-final in front of a vibrant home crowd in Navi Mumbai - an innings regarded as one of the best ever in a World Cup game.
