India Women's Tour of England
Priya Punia replaces injured Pratika Rawal in India’s squad for England Test
The Women's Selection Committee has named Priya Punia as a replacement for injured Pratika Rawal in India’s squad for the upcoming Test against England at Lord's.
Pratika sustained a laceration injury around her right knee during India A’s second One-Day match against England A in Taunton and will not be able to recover in time for the Test against England. She is subsequently ruled out of the Test.
Priya finished as the highest run-getter for India A with 171 runs from three matches in the recently concluded three-match One-Day series against England A, playing a crucial role in helping the team achieve a 2-1 series win.
India’s updated squad for the Test against England: Harmanpreet Kaur (C), Smriti Mandhana (VC), Shafali Varma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Deepti Sharma, Richa Ghosh (WK), Sree Charani, Yastika Bhatia (WK), Nandni Sharma, Harleen Deol, Renuka Thakur, Kranti Gaud, Sayali Satghare, Sneh Rana, Priya Punia.
