India Under-19 registered their third successive win as they beat New Zealand Under-19 by 120 runs in the Quadrangular series at the Chatsworth Stadium in Durban on Tuesday.
After electing to bat, India Under-19 enjoyed a solid start as the openers - Siddhesh Veer and N Tilak Verma – put up a 135-run stand before the latter got out for 59.
Veer, who scored 71 off 87 balls with the help of 6 fours and 2 sixes, was the next batsman to get out.
While the India Under-19’s middle-order struggled to go big, the team still managed to post 252/7 on the board.
Defending the target, New Zealand Under-19 were reduced to 5/4 as CTL Rakshan and Sushant Mishra ran through the top order.
While Jesse Tashkoff and Beckham Wheeler-Greenall scored 29 and 50 respectively, it was not enough as New Zealand Under-19 were all out for 132.
India Under-19 will now take on South Africa Under-19 in the final on Thursday.
