Divyaansh Saxena and Yashasvi Jaiswal starred with the bat as India Under-19 registered their second successive win after beating Zimbabwe Under-19 in the Quadrangular series at Kingsmead in Durban on Sunday.
Electing to bat, India Under-19 enjoyed a fine opening start as Jaiswal, who scored 78 off 86 balls, and Saxena, who scored an unbeaten 128 off 137 balls, put up a 143-run stand.
While India Under-19 then lost Jaiswal and N Tilak Varma in quick succession, Saxena and Kumar Kushagra then added 88 runs together before the latter got out for 47.
However, Saxena made sure India Under-19 cross the 300-run mark.
In the chase, Zimbabwe Under-19 lost their first wicket early as Vidyadhar Patil dismissed Milton Shumba for 10 in the fourth over.
Wesley Madhevere and skipper Dion Myers then added 46 runs for the second wicket before the former and Tadiwanashe Marumani got out in the space of 12 runs.
While Myres, who scored 83 during his 108-ball stay in the middle, India Under-19 kept Zimbabwe Under-19 in check.
The likes of Shubhang Hegde and Sushant Mishra scalped three wickets each as India Under-19 bowl out Zimbabwe Under-19 for 212 to register an 89-run win.
India Under-19 will next face New Zealand Under-19 on Tuesday.
