Shikhar Dhawan ruled out of ICC Cricket World Cup

An official request has been made to the ICC to consider Mr Rishabh Pant as Dhawan’s replacement

Mr Shikhar Dhawan sustained a fracture of the base of the first metacarpal on his left hand following a ball impact injury during Indian Cricket Team’s second ICC World Cup match versus Australia at the Oval on 9th June 2019.

Following several specialist consultations, he has been advised to keep his hand in a cast until mid-July. The opening batsman will not be available for the remainder of the tournament.

An official request has been made to the ICC to consider Mr Rishabh Pant as Dhawan’s replacement.

Prabhat Maurya replaces Rasikh Salam in India U19 squad

Mr. Rasikh Salam has been banned by the BCCI for two years following a discrepancy – submission of faulty birth certificate to BCCI.

Prabhat Maurya replaces Rasikh Salam in India U19 squad

 

The All-India Junior Selection committee has named Prabhat Maurya as replacement for Rasikh Salam in the India U19 squad that is set to play a one-day Tri-series in England starting July 21, 2019.

 

Mr. Rasikh Salam has been banned by the BCCI for two years following a discrepancy – submission of faulty birth certificate to BCCI.   

 

The revised squad is as follows:

 

India U19 Squad for the tournament is as follows: Priyam Garg (C), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Thakur Tilak Verma, Divyansh Saxena, Shaswat Rawat, Dhruv Chand Jurel (WK), Shubhang Hegde, Ravi Bishnoi, Vidyadhar Patil, Sushant Mishra, Prabhat Maurya, Sameer Rizvi, Pragnesh Kanpillewar, Kamran Iqbal, Priyesh Patel (WK), Karan Lal, Purnank Tyagi, Anshul Khamboj
