Rumeli Dhar to replace injured Jhulan Goswami

Ms. Dhar will join the Indian Women’s Team for the remaining three T20Is against South Africa Women.

The All-India Women’s Selection Committee has named Rumeli Dhar as the replacement for injured Jhulan Goswami. Ms. Dhar will join the Indian Women’s Team for the remaining three T20Is against South Africa Women.

Ms. Goswami had suffered an injury to her heel ahead of the first T20I. On Friday, India Women registered a nine-wicket win in the second match and now lead the T20I series 2-0.

Jhulan Goswami ruled out of T20I series

She will consult a foot expert and undergo her rehab process at the NCA in Bengaluru

Senior India bowler Jhulan Goswami has been ruled out of the T20I series against South Africa Women. Ms Goswami suffered a heel injury and underwent an MRI scan on Monday, February 12, 2018.

The BCCI Medical Team in consultation with a local doctor felt that she needs rest for a couple of weeks to avoid any further impact on the bone. Upon her return, Ms Goswami will consult a foot expert and will undergo her rehab process at the NCA in Bengaluru.
