India A were trailing by 215 runs with seven wickets in hand at the end of second day’s play against West Indies A in the second four-day game of the series at the Jawaharlal Nehru National College of Engineering Ground in Shimoga.
Earlier, Leon Johnson who resumed on the overnight score of 36 was the first to depart missing out on a well-deserved century by nine runs. After sending back Johnson, he trapped Veersammy Permaul leg-before in the same over. And a few overs later he followed up with the wicket of Fidel Edwards and castled Miguel Cummins to end the WI A innings for 406.
In response, the hosts finished their day on 191 for three.
