In the three North Zone matches played on February 19, Delhi beat Haryana, Himachal Pradesh defeated J&K and Punjab got the better off Services in the ongoing Inter State One-day League 2012-13.

North Zone

Delhi vs Haryana in Bilaspur: Delhi beat Haryana by 66 runs at the Lohnu Cricket Ground.

Put in to bat, half-centuries by Dhruv Shorey and Jagrit Anand and a 24-ball 46-run cameo by Sumit Narwal powered Delhi to 235 for the loss of six wickets in the 38 overs-a-side match. Parvinder Awana (four-wickets), Pradeep Sangwan (three wickets) and Pawan Negi (two wickets) then skittled out Haryana for 169 in 35 overs to claim victory.

Himachal vs J & K in Nadaun: Himachal bowled J&K out for 175 to register a thumping 73-run win at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Stadium.

Asked to bat, skipper Aakash Chopra opening the batting for HP scored 72 runs while the rest of the middle-order chipped in with useful runs to take the team to 248. Zahoor Sofi claimed a four-for while Ramdyal Punia picked up three wickets in the innings.

Defending the total, Himachal bowlers ran through the opposition line-up and wrapped-up the J&K innings in 42 overs. After VS Malik set the ball rolling with the wicket of opener S P Khajurai, Rahul Singh took four wickets while Dhruv Singh and Karan Veer picked two wickets each to win the game for HP.

SSCB vs Punjab in Dharamsala: After restricting Services to 183, Punjab cruised to a five-wicket win at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association stadium. Carrying forward his superb form from the Ranji Trophy into the one-day league, Sandeep Sharma dealt a double blow in the third over and returned to claim one more while Siddharth Kaul chipped in with a wicket to leave SSCB on 11 for four. However, a valiant effort of 96 runs by Services captain Rajat Paliwal helped Services set Punjab a 184-run target.

Chasing the total, Gurkeerat Singh Mann (49) and Mayank Sidana (43) helped the Taruwar Kohli-led side across the line.
