Finn, Pietersen, Swann rested for T20Is
Mumbai, Nov 29: England have decided to rest Kevin Pietersen, Graeme Swann and Steven Finn for the two Twenty20 Internationals against India. While Swann will also sit out the ODI series, Pietersen and Finn will return for the five ODIs post Christmas.
Stuart Broad leads the 13-man T20I squad in which England have named one uncapped player, Stuart Meaker. Jonny Bairstow will take up the wicketkeeping responsibilities in both the T20Is. Cairg Kieswetter returns behind the wicket in the ODIs.
In England’s attempt to ensure rest for their key players, James Anderson will be part of the ODI series only for the first three matches. Broad will miss the first three games and join the team for the last two ODIs.
