NZ A vs Ind A - Match 2, Day 4
Mumbai, Oct 6: The second four-day match between New Zealand A and India A ended in a draw at the Bert Sutcliffe Oval in Lincoln after rain stopped play on Day 4. With both the matches not yielding results, the two-match series was tied.
On Day 4, a century by India A captain, Abhinav Mukund, helped the visitors take a 376-run lead against New Zealand A. Earlier today, Anustup Majumdar (32) was the first to depart, after hitting the ball back to George Worker. The left-arm spinner also claimed Suryakumar Yadav (6) a while later to finish with three scalps in the innings. Mukund was batting on 132 with Mandeep Singh on 14 when India A declared their rain-affected innings on 246 for four.
Later, with only three balls into the NZ A innings, rain again halted play and forced a stop to proceedings. By the time the match was called off, the Kiwis hadn’t even got off the mark in their second innings.
