Board announces Rs.20 lakhs reward for U19s

MEDIA RELEASE

Mumbai, 26 August: In honour of their recent triumph at the 2012 ICC Under-19 World Cup, BCCI President, Mr. N. Srinivasan, has announced a cash prize of Rs.20 lakhs for each player of the victorious team. A cash reward of Rs.15 lakhs will also be given to each member of the support staff of the India U19 team. Hony. Secretary, Sanjay Jagdale, has also congratulated the victors on a great tournament.

"Many congratulations to the Indian team for the winning the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup. We won the 'senior' World Cup last year, and now our boys have triumphed in the junior version of the tournament. This is a great day for Indian cricket. The Board would like to announce a cash prize of Rs. 20 lakhs to each player, and Rs. 15 lakhs to each member of the support staff."
