WI A vs India A – 3rd Test, Day 4
Mumbai, June 19: India A lost the third four-day game by ten wickets to West Indies A at Beausejour Stadium, Gros Islet, St Lucia after a dismal batting performance.
On the last day of the match, the visitors, who had resumed on an overnight score of 181 for seven, were bowled out after adding just 21 runs to their total. Kevin McLean first trapped Wriddhiman Saha lbw and then claimed Parvinder Awana for naught to finish with a five-for. With Punit Bist unable to play due to injury, the visitors’ innings was wrapped up for 202.
Requiring just 97, the hosts cruised to victory in 17.5 overs without losing a wicket. Openers Kraigg Brathwaite and Kieran Powell remained unbeaten on 36 and 56 respectively to give the WI A side a 2-1 series win.
Powell, who had hit a century in the first innings, was named Man-of-the-Match for his brilliant effort with the bat.
