Mumbai, Oct 12: After India were at the receiving end of a 0-3 drubbing in their recent tour of England in the five-match One-Day International series, the two sides now get ready to resume battle in India. Historically, India-England ODI matches have produced some memorable contests which include India’s triumph against England in the 1983 World Cup semi-final, England’s victory against India in the 1987 World Cup semi-final and the 2002 NatWest Series final. More recently, the tied 2011 World Cup encounter between the two sides left the game richer by the sheer spectacle of two outstanding innings from batsmen on both sides (Sachin Tendulkar and Andrew Strauss).
