This young pacer has been around in India’s first-class circuit since 2007 when as a 17-year-old he made his debut for Uttar Pradesh. Although not express fast, Kumar has proved to be quite a handful for batsmen to handle owing to his ability to get the ball to swing both ways. His change of pace and other variations make him a useful weapon in the shortest format of the game. Kumar’s big day came when he was picked in India’s Twenty20 International squad for the 2012-13 home series against Pakistan.
